Cinthia Duclos is an associate professor in Université Laval’s faculty of law, and has been a lawyer and member of the Barreau du Québec since 2008.
She is a member of the centre for studies in economic law and of the financial services law research group at Université Laval. With the latter group, she has authored and coauthored several articles in specialized journals and chapters in collective books about financial counselling and portfolio management services.
Duclos received a bachelor of law and a master of business administration from Université Laval. She worked at the Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg law firm during her studies, as an articling student and, ultimately, as a lawyer, working mostly in commercial litigation. She obtained her doctorate in business and financial services law from the faculty of law at Université Laval in 2019.
Her teaching and research interests include financial services law, corporate governance, corporate law, and bankruptcy and insolvency law.
