Yves Bourgeois
Yves Bourgeois studies the impacts of technological disruptions on the economy and labour market. For the last ten years he has also focused on building community capacity, including shared transportation and labour market integration. Bourgeois is professor of economics and dean of studies at Université de Moncton, campus de Shippagan, where he oversees research. Prior to his academic career, Bourgeois worked for ten years in the public and private sectors, including the Parliament of Canada. He regularly serves as an expert advisor on public policy and economic growth and serves on several selection committees. A father of four swimmers and hockey players, he holds a BA from Université de Moncton, an MA from the University of Oxford, an MSc from the University of Edinburgh, and a PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles.
