In Conversation With…a leading scholar of the Holocaust

The next event in our public talks series In Conversation With will feature Jan Grabowski, a prominent and leading scholar of the Holocaust. Grabowski is a professor in the department of history at the University of Ottawa, and SSHRC’s 2022 Insight Award winner.

Grabowski has dedicated his 30-year career to the history of the Holocaust in Poland. His research examines the extermination of Polish Jews, as well as the history of Jewish-Polish relations from 1939 to 1945. More specifically, he has studied the fate of the Jews who went into hiding in the countryside following the liquidations of the urban ghettos.

Join Grabowski for an online discussion, Blindly repeating history: how the tenets of democracy are easily corroded, on February 15, 2023, at 10 a.m. (eastern).
