Description of Proportion of Grants Budget Allocated to Priority Expenditure Areas, 2010-11*

This pie chart shows the proportion of grants budget (as a percentage) allocated by the Social Sciences and Humanities Council in 2010-11 to the following five priority expenditure areas in Program Activity 4.1: Indirect Costs of Research:

• 33 per cent went to Research Facilities;
• 18 per cent went to Research Resources;
• nine per cent went to Regulatory Requirements and Accreditation;
• five per cent went to Intellectual Property; and
• 35 per cent went to Management and Administration.

Fiscal year 2010-11 is the last year for which outcomes reports are available from all institutions.
