Description of Distribution of Grants and Scholarships Spending in the Area of Strategic Research Development, 2011-12 (millions of dollars and percentages)

This doughnut chart shows 2011-12 grants and scholarships spending by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) on Program Activity 2.3: Strategic Research Development, for following five subactivities:

• Community-University Research Alliances, which made up 34 per cent of spending on the program activity at 12 million dollars
• Partnership Development Grants, which made up 25 per cent of spending on the program activity at nine million dollars
• Partnership Grants, which made up 15 per cent of spending on the program activity at five million dollars
• SSHRC Institutional Grants, which made up 15 per cent of spending on the program activity at five million dollars
• Other Funding Opportunities, which made up 11 per cent of spending on the program activity at four million dollars

Other Funding Opportunities are a sum of programs valued at one million dollars or less.
