Tariq S. Malik, CPA, ICD.D

Tariq S. Malik has been a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) for several years and holds an ICD designation. He has served for over two decades on various boards, including, as chair, Board of Directors, for the Calgary Parking Authority; chair, Audit Committee, and director, Youth Link, for the Calgary Police Interpretive Centre; and as member, Audit and Risk Management Council, Board of Governors, of the Bow Valley College in Calgary. He was also corporate director, Pan American Fertilizer Corp in Vancouver, British Columbia, until 2012.

Professionally, Tariq is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant. He has worked in senior executive roles, such as chief operating officer, chief financial officer and executive vice-president, for companies in the oil and gas, power generation and mining sectors. These include a subsidiary of British Petroleum, Coca Cola and other TSX listed companies.

Tariq has many years of experience in corporate governance, strategic initiatives, merger and acquisitions activities, large capital projects and public relations and investor relations. He has a broad global perspective, having worked for over thirteen years with multinational organizations located across North and South America, Europe and the Middle East.

Tariq plays golf, likes arts and theatre, loves nature and travel, and has taught MBA and professional development courses.
