Nadim Kara

A Director at Stratos Inc. since 2017, Nadim Kara is a strategy consultant who helps organizations identify and achieve sustainability outcomes. He specializes in the area of natural resource management and industrial policy, including providing support for seven “economic strategy tables” established by the Government of Canada to help drive competitiveness, inclusion and environmental performance across key sectors of the economy.

Previously Senior Director of Policy and Programs at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada, Kara has worked closely with government and industry to develop and implement policies, regulations and programs that support a competitive and responsible minerals industry. His earlier career also included four years with Natural Resources Canada as a senior policy advisor and two years with Partnership Africa Canada, during which he led global efforts to safeguard human rights in the diamond industry supply chain. Kara has also worked at the municipal level to improve the quality of life of Vancouver’s most vulnerable people.

A graduate of The University of British Columbia, Kara obtained a master’s in political science from York University.

Kara’s work in sustainability has been recognized by the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Ontario Minister for Northern Development and Mines, and Natural Resources Canada.
