Guide for SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship holders registered at foreign institutions, and Postdoctoral Fellowship holders in Canada or abroad

Introduction

The information in this Guide takes effect April 1, 2007. It supersedes all SSHRC's statements on award regulations.

Please read this Guide carefully. It contains essential information regarding the payment and administration of your award.

SSHRC reserves the right to change award regulations and to interpret the provisions of this Guide as well as any conditions attached to an award.

Note: All personal information collected by the Council is subject to the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

In this Guide:

• "your university" refers to the university at which you are registered as a full-time student during the tenure of your award or, for postdoctoral fellows, your institution of affiliation.
• "Council" refers to SSHRC.
• "anniversary date" refers to the start date of your award. For example, if the start date of your award is May 1, 2007, your anniversary date is May 1, 2008.
