Review of policy framework for research integrity
Beginning in 2008, Canada’s three federal research funding agencies—SSHRC, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)—along with the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC), undertook a review of the agencies’ policy framework for research and scholarly integrity, and financial accountability. The agencies and AUCC remain committed to continuous improvement in this important area, and are pleased to make public the report on this review.
Canadian Research Integrity Committee
The agencies and AUCC are members of the Canadian Research Integrity Committee (CRIC), which commissioned a complementary report on the broader issue of the state of the research integrity system in Canada. This report provides a comprehensive overview of the Canadian integrity system and provides comparisons with models in other countries. The CRIC is pleased to make public this report.
