If you are a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, have completed or are about to complete a bachelor's degree, or are already pursuing a master's degree in the humanities or social sciences, you may be eligible to apply for a master's scholarship.

Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarships Program: Master's Scholarships

For students applying to, or registered in, a master's or combined MA/PhD program in the social sciences or humanities at a Canadian university.

Awarded to an outstanding recipient of a SSHRC Doctoral Award or Postdoctoral Fellowship conducting research in sociology, specifically research on poverty

For one outstanding Doctoral Fellow entering a program in Canadian Studies in Canada

Annual award for most outstanding SSHRC Doctoral recipient

Sport Participation Research Initiative: Doctoral Award Supplements

To help support holders of SSHRC doctoral awards who are doing policy-relevant research on participation in sport in Canada

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS) Program: Doctoral Nominations

For Canadian and international students, nominated by a Canadian university, who are applying to, or registered in, a doctoral program or a combined MA/PhD program in the social sciences or humanities

The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGS) program is administered by Canada’s three research granting councils (the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council).
