In June 2011, the Government of Canada announced the Kanishka Project, a new $10 million initiative to invest, over five years, in research on pressing questions for Canada related to terrorism and counter-terrorism. As part of this initiative, Public Safety Canada is investing up to $3.7 million to support, in full or in part, with SSHRC, research and related activities addressing issues identified by the Kanishka Project.
Researchers applying to funding opportunities offered under SSHRC’s Insight and Connection programs and who wish to be considered for funding through the Kanishka Project must indicate their interest in their SSHRC application form.
Complete details on the Kanishka Project are available on the Public Safety Canada website.
