Tracy Summerville is an associate professor in the department of political science at the University of Northern British Columbia. She is also co-ordinator of the Integrated Analytical Skills and Knowledge Program, a program designed for first-year students entering into the social sciences and humanities.
Summerville's research is focused on the impacts of globalization on communities in the northern parts of the provinces. She has been awarded teaching awards from the University of Northern British Columbia, including the Robert W. Tait Annual Lecture and the Advancement of Information Literacy Award. Summerville is also co-editor of the Canadian Political Science Review.
Summerville received her doctorate from Université Laval, and her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western University.
