Suromitra Sanatani

Suromitra Sanatani is strategic counsel for the national law firm Heenan Blaikie. Before this, she was special advisor to the Ministry of Advanced Education of British Columbia, tasked with establishing the Pacific Centre for Social Innovation. She has served as vice-president at Partnerships BC, a crown agency specializing in public-private partnerships and as vice-president of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, representing the interests of small and medium-sized businesses in British Columbia and the Yukon. Sanatani has practiced law with the Vancouver firm Alexander, Holburn, Beaudin & Lang. She holds a law degree from the University of Ottawa and a BA in French literature from the University of Victoria.
