Tom Jenkins

Since 1994, Tom Jenkins has served as a director of OpenText, a firm created as the direct result of basic research. He has been executive chairman and chief strategy officer of the company since 2005. From 1997 until 2005, Mr. Jenkins served as OpenText's chief executive officer.

Mr. Jenkins is currently a member of the board of directors of BMC Software, Inc. From 1989 until 1994, he held several executive positions with DALSA Inc., an electronic imaging manufacturer.

Mr. Jenkins received an MBA in technology management from York University, an MASc in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto, and a B.Eng. in technology and commerce from McMaster University.
